Precise Time and Frequency, LLC (PTF) designs and manufactures instruments that establish, distribute and maintain precision time and frequency references. Founded in 2002, the business joined LGL in 2016.

Its products include GPS/GNSS receivers, frequency standards, distribution amplifiers, automatic switching systems and fiber optic timing solutions. They serve applications where dependable synchronization is essential, including communications, aerospace, defense and research.

Skyline Instruments develops precision timing and synchronized sensing technologies for commercial and defense applications. Its work includes time-transfer systems and reference architectures for environments where GPS may be unreliable or unavailable.

LGL announced its strategic investment in Skyline on June 17, 2026. The syndicated investment had a first closing in June and a second closing in July 2026, supported by an additional third-party investor. The relationship reflects our merchant investment approach: supporting capable teams, building industry connections and expanding the opportunity set around critical technologies.
